With one baby and another on the way, Rihanna is getting her kid movie roles up. The global superstar just signed on for the role of Smurfette in Paramount’s animated “The Smurfs Movie.”

The billionaire beauty mogul made a surprise appearance at Paramount’s CinemaCon in Las Vegas on Thursday to announce her addition to the children’s movie, Variety reports. In addition to a starring role, Rih Rih will also produce the upcoming project as well as write and record original new music.

“I tried to get the Papa Smurf role but It didn’t work out,” Rihanna jokingly said.

The soon-to-be mother of two confirmed that she is in the third trimester of her second pregnancy. She appeared alongside Paramount Animation head Ramsey Naito who shared how the film will explore themes of identity and answer the central question, “What is a Smurf?”

It’s the second role in an animated children’s film for Rihanna who previously lent her voice to DreamWorks 2015 animated film “Home,” which grossed over $380 million. The Fenty Beauty founder’s other roles are all live-action credits in films like “Battleship,” “This Is the End,” “Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets,” “Ocean’s 8” and “Guava Island.”

Rihanna brought on the high fashion for CinemaCon in a look too good to be deemed maternity wear. The “Diamonds” singer sported a full-body denim-washed oversized Y Project frock from the FW2023 collection with matching thigh-high denim boots, as noted by Hello Beautiful.

Since her first pregnancy, with her son whom she welcomed in May 2022, Rihanna has been lauded for helping to revamp traditional maternity wear. The Bajan superstar has continued to amaze the fashion world with maternity looks that include zip-up hoodies, low-rise jeans, sneakers, and couture sunglasses, via Harper’s Bazaar.

Her fans might be begging her for a new studio album. But the “Umbrella” singer is lending her voice in other ways. At least her new acting gig comes with new music.
